About Emaar
Emaar Properties was founded in 1997 by Mohamed Alabbar and listed on the Dubai Financial Market in 2000, becoming the first Dubai developer to open its shares to foreign nationals. It built its reputation on large-scale master communities rather than single towers, starting with Dubai Marina and Arabian Ranches before Downtown Dubai, home to Burj Khalifa and The Dubai Mall.
